Abstract
In this paper I will focus on how peircean Semiotics refers to a theory of continuity (Synechism) in order to work as a cognitive theory capable to link the incapacity of intuition and the refusal of the unknowable. Peircean’s theory of continuity
will be illustrated, paying particular attention to the relationship between continuity and infinitesimals. I will finally describe how peircean’s Synechism is able to define The Law of Mind and keep together Semiotics and Mathematics within a cognitive semiotic framework.
