Abstract (italiano)

This text is an extension of our initial research on the transforming resources of dreams in particular with regard to the treatment of the collective trauma caused by the 2015 attacks in Paris. It further explores the working of dreams when related to the desubjectivating effects of the denial and cleavage reactions clinically observed in most of the victims. We are using the contributions of the semiotics of images to understand the reasons why the unthinkable of a situation must go through iconic treatment before restoring semiosis. The methodology adopted in this work has an epistemological affinity with some of Jean-François Bordron’s theoretical propositions, which invite us to consider not the constituted subject, but the process of subjectivation, as a process of individuation resulting from what in the image can “make an imageµ.
