Abstract (english)

TV series can be seen as a new interpretative challenge for Eco’s Lector in fabula. As a matter of fact, the mechanisms through which complex and articulated narrative worlds are created define contemporary TV series. These mechanisms can be an interesting object of study for a theory that can be pragmatically adaptable to these new narrative objects. Many are the peculiar characteristics of TV series narration that need a semiotic theory for interpreting elements such as for example, the creation of narrative worlds and the complex characterization of characters. The supposed Lector model in its adaptability can be a useful tool for facing both the many challenges born from TV series narration and the recent transformations of TV series production and distribution mechanisms.
