Abstract (italiano)

Early on, in his 1866 writings, Peirce shows a good acquaintance with medieval theories, texts and authors, making also use of the distinction between relations of equiparance and relations of disquiparance. The paper examines how some 13th-century philosophers expressed the distinction between relation of equiparance and disquiparance in the frame of their theory of relations, presents Peirce’s early interpretation of this distinction, and discusses some plausible sources of Peirce’s early interpretation and misinterpretation of this distinction.
